Richard L. Halle
Richard Halle is a tax partner with the firm and brings thirty-two years of experience with him. After graduating with honors from California State University, Bakersfield with a degree in business administration and a concentration in accounting, he worked for a Big Four firm in southern California. During this time, he earned a Masters in Taxation, graduating with honors from Golden Gate University. Born and raised in Bakersfield, it was an easy decision to return.
Richard’s primary area of practice is taxation, including income and estate tax planning and compliance. Administratively, he is the firm coordinator for information technology and marketing and is co-director of operations for the firm.
Richard is a fourth generation California native and lives in cattle country of the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. For many years, he and his wife owned and operated a cattle ranch. Naturally, much of Mr. Halle’s professional practice is agriculturally related, including farming, ranching, and agricultural service and supply. He is the designated agricultural industry coordinator for the firm. Richard also has extensive experience in professional practices, extractive industries, oilfield service providers, and estate and trust administration.
Richard has been named as an expert in civil litigation related to trust and estate issues as well as agricultural and income tax disputes. He has been an adjunct professor of accounting at California State University, Bakersfield and coordinates the firm supported Masters in Taxation program with Golden Gate University.
Professionally, nothing is more satisfying to Richard than the one-on-one interaction with clients and staff both problem solving and strategic planning.
