Rosalva Flores

Rosalva Flores is an audit partner with the firm. She has over 19 years of experience and was recently promoted to partner. She joined the firm in 2010 after graduating from California State University, Bakersfield with a degree in business administration and a concentration in accounting and a minor in Spanish.

Rosalva’s specialization is in government-type audits including school districts, transits, cities, special districts, and retirement systems. Rosalva is a “hands-on” partner. She enjoys the direct contact with her clients and strives to give all her clients excellent service.

Administratively, she is the chair of the Firm’s Audit Quality Committee and, along with the committee members, is responsible for developing policies and procedures and review and implementation of new accounting pronouncements.

To keep current on accounting issues, she actively participates in various professional organizations such as the California Municipal Finance Officers (CSFMO), the State Association of County Retirement Systems (SACRS), and the California Association of Public Retirement Systems (CALAPRS). In addition, she is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Rosalva is also involved in the community. She participates in various community events including the Kern Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Latina Leaders, HOPE, and she has volunteered as a career coach for Cal State University Bakersfield and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. She enjoys traveling and has visited several countries including Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, China, Italy, France, Spain, and Brazil.
